Ephesians 2:10 tells us “For we are God’s hand

Ephesians 2:10 tells us “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

But is that true for you? Absolutely it is! Join us next Monday (4/28) as we start a Bible study together, looking at five women in the book of Acts. And let me tell you that they were ordinary women, but they had an amazing God!

As we work through these five days, we will learn about each woman, what was noteworthy about her, and what we can learn about how God uses people.

It is already an incredibly meaningful weekend as we remember Jesus’ sacrificial death and the victory of His resurrection.

So add to that the way I feel as a mom watching my son speak at a teen-led Good Friday service. 🥹

Four different teens spoke about the last words of Jesus on the cross (and did so well!). Peter had “It is finished,” and he brought out parts of the original Greek word, “Tetelestai” meaning fulfilled, finished, accomplished, and paid.

When Jesus died, prophesy was fulfilled, our redemption was accomplished, and the payment for our sin was made in full. Praise God! Thank you, Lord Jesus!

So excited to share that my new 5-Day Bible Study will soon be available (and it is going to be free!). 🥰 If you have wondered how you can be used by God, let’s dive into Scripture together!

Over the course of five days, we will look at five women in the book of Acts. These are ordinary women, but they had an amazing God!

As we study these individuals, we will also consider how the Lord wants to work in and through you! Yes, He has a place for YOU in the Kingdom. Let’s think about your gifts and skills; let’s develop your love for others, and think through how you can be faithful to steward what God has given you.

Dan and I teach the high school Sunday school clas

Dan and I teach the high school Sunday school class at our church, and for the last several months, we’ve been studying apologetics (giving a defense for our Christian faith) using the @chip_ingram Why I Believe study.

This past Sunday, we told the teens that we were bringing in guests to quiz them on their knowledge and what we’ve been learning… but the guests were really just us in silly wigs and costumes asking about faith. 😄

The kids all did great, but what made me tear up was the answer to our last question. In our role-playing, we told them we had heard that the Christian God is a personal God, and we asked why God is real to them. And one by one, they went around the room and shared what made God so real and personal to them.

The answers were beautiful and some of the most poignant things said that morning. And this just goes to show that while it is important to know what we believe and why we believe it, the power of Jesus changing your life and your personal testimony can be some of the most powerful apologetics out there.

So let’s remember: Your life and what Jesus is doing in your life might just be your greatest apologetic. Now, what would you share?

What a great women’s retreat we had last weekend

What a great women’s retreat we had last weekend! Finally getting to post about it, but I am so very thankful to the Lord for blessing our time together. We had over 90 women come, and it was such an encouraging time to learn about abiding in Jesus. Spend some time in John 15 today, and remember that the fruitful life - the flourishing life- only comes when we abide in Jesus, the true vine! 💕

It’s the start of April Fool’s Day in our hous

It’s the start of April Fool’s Day in our house and Anna is winning. Dan is in second with seemingly half of our lights not working. I’m bombing out with a Saran Wrap doorway trap and rubber chickens on tires - both big fails. 😩😂
